Control

During my observations this week, I've noticed that Stassi has gained balance and control of her body. She's started to sit down without falling down or leaning too much to one side. She's also started to be able to hold on her bottle and drink from it without the help of someone to hold it for her. For a moment in the beginning of Stassi's milestone, she was only able to sit down supporting herself by leaning forward and extending her arms forward.

On parents.com it told me that a baby who is 6 months experiences siting up by herself and a way to help Stassi to become comfortable to sit down is surrounding her with pillows, cushions or use a c-shape pillow for support. I will use this to help her out more and also keep searching through this parents website to help me out with Stassi's milestones.

  1. I love children but I don't think I would be able to handle taking care of them for a certain period of time because I tend to get scared if something were to happen to them. That doesn't seem like the case here it seems like you're having fun and enjoying the company the girls provide since you research things concerning them.

  2. Does she ever fall? I was always amazed that my girls didn't get more severely injured from their falls. It's almost as if, they're built to fall.

  3. I remember when my niece was barely learning how to control her body too. I don't know why but it just seemed like a crazy experience to me. Soon she'll be running around and you won't be able to keep up with her.

  4. I remember my niece learning how to sit up. She'd fall over so many times but what really helped her, was a pillow that'd support her back. Your niece is so cute!
